Locally, this has been an eagerly anticipated film. Although it was the work of a Scalon V director and screenwriter, the movie was filmed entirely on location on Armpit VI using native actors. Most notable is the talented Armpit City burlesque star, Welooksha, playing the title role. This biopic is about the storybook life of the sultry-voiced singer Loreksha, the child of poor Uptite miners, who became a star on Armpit VI and later the most adored Marmali singer in the entire galaxy. As with many biopics, the script suffers from overt adulation (glossing over LorekshaÆs cerebomb addiction) and the supporting cast is weak. On the plus side, Welooksha does an impressive job belting out one Loreksha hit after another, and youÆll enjoy seeing those Armpit VI locales.
